Please Pray for the Mary C. Try Family.

MIFFLINBURG -- Mary C. Try, 83, of Mifflinburg and formerly of Beaver Springs, passed away late Saturday night, Oct. 24, 2009, at RiverWoods.

She was born Nov. 26, 1925, in Beaver Springs, a daughter of the late James and Mabel (Troupe) Walter. On April 29, 1944, she married James W. Try who preceded her in death on May 16, 1992.

She attended Beaver Springs area schools.

She was a life member of God's Missionary Church in Beavertown and also recently attended Millmont God's Missionary Church.

Mary worked at Saylor's Shirt Factory from 1952 until its closing in 1989. She then cleaned homes for various families in the area.

The joy of her life was serving the Lord and spending time with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Ruth A. and Dave Styers, of Mifflinburg; two grandchildren, Tracey Liddington and her husband Glen, of Mifflinburg, and James Styers and his wife Tera, of Florida; two great-grandchildren, Tyler and Makenzie; one brother, Carl Walter, of Chambersburg; one sister, Gladys Zechman, of Beavertown; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death in addition to her husband by four brothers, Erman, John, Earl and Robert Walter; and one sister, Gertrude Hommel.

Friends and family may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Aurand Funeral Home, 316 W. Market St., Beavertown and again from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the Beavertown God's Missionary Church, where the funeral will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor James Plank and Pastor Jeff Stratton officiating.

Burial will follow in Beavertown God's Missionary Church Cemetery.
